This UX case study focuses on designing a Policy Templates feature for Citrix DaaS Studio to address issues with complex and error-prone policy management. By introducing customizable, intuitive templates and incorporating visual feedback, error validation, and context-sensitive help, the design streamlined the policy creation process, reducing configuration time and minimizing mistakes. User research, including interviews with administrators, highlighted the need for simplicity and flexibility, and the resulting solution significantly improved administrative efficiency and user satisfaction.
Transformed complex policy management into a streamlined, user-friendly experience
I led the design efforts to improve the user experience of policy template management within Citrix’s DaaS platform. I collaborated with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to create intuitive, efficient workflows that simplified policy customization. My role involved conducting user research, prototyping, and iterating on design solutions to enhance usability and drive customer satisfaction.
Streamlined complex policy creation, boosting admin confidence and reducing misconfigurations
The introduction of the policy templates feature for Citrix DaaS Studio significantly improved the user experience by streamlining the policy creation process, reducing errors, and increasing efficiency. A/B testing and user research highlighted a 40% decrease in task completion time, a 30% reduction in misconfigurations, and a 25% boost in user satisfaction. These results demonstrate the feature’s effectiveness in simplifying complex tasks, empowering administrators with an intuitive, error-resistant tool, and ultimately enhancing their confidence and productivity.
Optimized DaaS policy workflows—40% faster completion, fewer errors, and happier admins
Time Efficiency: The policy creation process was completed 40% faster by users with the new templates, reducing average task completion time from 18 minutes to 11 minutes.
Error Reduction: The new policy templates feature resulted in a 30% lower error rate, with only 10% of users encountering errors compared to 15% in the previous process.
User Satisfaction & Confidence: User satisfaction with the policy creation process increased by 25%, with 82% of users in the test group expressing satisfaction, and 74% feeling more confident in deploying policies without support.
